MyUW
You may log into MyUW as a guest to access the publicly available resources and view sample screens. Information specific to you as faculty and your course is only available if you log in with your UW NetID.
MyUW is the portal to University of Washington information. A wealth of resources are available to assist you in succeeding at the University of Washington and the Information School. For example, you can update your employee information through Employee Self-Service (ESS) on the Faculty/Staff tab, check the enrollment of your course and find teaching aids on the Teaching tab, and access the Library Gateway and other sources on the Reference tab.
MyUW can also be personalized to fit your particular needs by including or excluding the services you see listed, adding bookmarks to your favorite links by clicking on Add Content box which is at the upper left corner of each tab.
You can also select from a number of backgrounds and accent colors by clicking on "Appearance" in the upper right side of the screen.

MyUW Teaching Tab
The MyUW Teaching tab provides tools to create an e-mail distribution list for your course, download a class roster, and more. The class list is updated nightly.
How to access tools and information related to your class:
- Go to the MyUW website: http://myuw.washington.edu
- Log in with your UW NetID and password. (For new instructors, you will not be able to create a UW NetID, until your payroll information is entered in the UW database.)
- Click on the "Teaching" tab at the top of your screen.
- You should see the title of your class, enrollment, a link to the class list and the SLN number for the class.
- If there is a plus (+) sign in front of the class title, click on it to find additional course information, materials and tools.
- Here you can request a class email list, add personalized information about your class for the online catalogue, add the class website URL so students can link directly to the site from their MyUW, and indicate whether or not there will be a final exam in your class.
Please check the information in your MyUW to confirm the number of credits and grading option. Contact the Academics Coordinator if the information is in any way incorrect.
