Improving information interactions for patients, clinicians, and biomedical researchers.

The research goal of the iMed team is to improve the way patients, clinicians, and biomedical researchers search for, manage, and use information. In today’s information age, these information interactions are critical both for ensuring quality healthcare and for advancing biomedical research. To accomplish our research goal, we examine both the people and the information technologies. We study the way people interact with information, and we develop novel technologies that either enhance people’s current information interactions or enable new kinds of interactions. See our research projects page for current examples of our work.
